Our future begins with our past. Learning about history, especially the stories that didn’t make it into textbooks, is essential to understanding who we are. It also ensures that history is not repeated. This is why I have such a passion for writing stories that history has forgotten—so that I might remind myself, and my readers, of the importance of defending freedom and understanding your roots, wherever those roots may be planted.
