STEALING FREEDOM is a Reader’s Favorite Award Winner!

On September 1, I got very exciting news! STEALING FREEDOM has won it’s 2nd award! It received the Honorable Mention Award from Reader’s Favorite in the Young Adult - Coming of Age category! It also received Five Stars from them!

I am so humbled to see that people are receiving this story so well. A writer puts their heart into every story they write, but STEALING FREEDOM also has my soul in it. This story is a part of my heritage and represents a significant part of my culture. It’s also a story of fighting for what’s right, even when everyone thinks you’re crazy or what you’re fighting for is impossible. My hope is that it encourages readers to blaze their own path, to do what they know in their hearts is right, and to be willing to give up everything to keep the freedoms they have—because freedom is always worth fighting for.
